"Anyone who has ever learned to play the piano will know what it’s like to sit down to practice. You quickly postpone the inevitable 15 minutes of scales and arpeggios to conduct your own joyous musical explorations, absent-mindedly freewheeling up and down the keyboard to find unexpected melodies, harmonies and rhythms. That’s what Meadhbh’s songs sound like; they obey virtually none of the stuffy rules of songwriting, and that lack of constraint means that there are no forced rhymes or clichéd cadences. In fact, they almost sound directly imagined from her head into yours. At first that can feel unsettling, but it quickly transforms into something very playful, personal and beautiful. This wonderful record sits in an alternative world that I wish I could visit more often, where absent-minded doodling meets laser-guided musical precision."

Kissing Boys 03:51
Imagine yourself in a city far away from here Life seems much less serious than it really is Fashion failures beckon – those rainbow cycling shorts We’re the greatest band that ever graced the stage – endless dreams of cool – ah. Running eating sleeping, kissing boys Running eating sleeping, kissing boys Running eating sleeping, make a choice – just kiss some boys x2 Such a grown up responsibility – living your life No more naked teen inhibitions, as we try to get and know who we are Those days at school were long, they just went on and on On and on. On and on. Running eating sleeping, kissing boys Running eating sleeping, making noise Running eating sleeping, kissing boys – just kiss some boys [BVs contrapuntal-ness] She’s runnin, he’s running, we’re runnin, kissing boys

Measuring your life by tampon boxes Feeling like a woman tonight, filling up a cup size. Oh! Garden’s got a hose but only the nose knows Feeling like a woman tonight, hairspray in the handbag. Oh! Save yourself from yourself No one knows what to say to you Save yourself. Don’t go out tonight Save up your money for the weekend We all have a song, a song of our own You sing your song, yourself all alone Ponder crunchy leaves, under your shoe Yum hum your song and I’ll hum mine too. Da, da, da, da, da, doo doo doo etc. Why you look at me and tell me that I’m awesome? Staring. Proof that you are flaw-some Oh! All he ever wanted was to be a hero. But no. Now he just tries to be retro. Save yourself, from yourself No one knows what to say to you Save yourself. Don’t go out tonight Save up your money for the weekend You can’t buy that no more, no more for you - must have run out or discontinued Time for something else, something brand new Yum hum your song, and I’ll hum mine too Save yourself, from yourself No one knows what to say to you Save yourself. Don’t go out tonight Save up your money for the weekend.

Someone knows what you do to my life Sunlight on our skin and yes I love you forever Feels like a feeling felt before Love meeting love and then you slide down through the floor. Oh. “What you could do is” – your friend Never let feet touch the ground We want to shake you up – our friend And really show how it is, and really show you how it is …Ah. Yes, you’re a fool and so am I We know our tolerance it changes all the time. (swirly synth) You know your place, and so do I We keep in contact and it really matters why. Ah – Ah “What you could do is” – your friend Never let feet touch the ground You need to shake it up To really know what I mean An affluent lover– no friends Champagne. Candy. Dancing No you couldn’t make it up – this life Greedy ill beast on the scene. Greedy beast on the scene. Someone knows what you do to my life Sunlight on our skin and yes I love you forever Feels like a feeling, felt before Love meeting love and sink down through the floor

The Myth 02:05
Fake denim. Blonde. Gold. (Show us the real in you) Even though she can her mind it says she’s not allowed do Being the same, as everyone else – she thinks that’s okay. That’s not oh Making all this money will not help or cure or save you Soon as you know that you’ll turn around and thank the chutzpah Jumping off the world after the ‘magic round-a-bout’ Don’t tell us. We know. It. Won’t live it lying down Just sense it. We feel it. Everything he looks at - make him feel so worthless Life must seem so bleak when you cannot afford those flyknits Seeing the world – seems so far away how can you compare Yourself to those who you don’t know Different lives and landscapes, jets and five-star spa locations They mean nothing, I’m telling you, if you’re dead inside. If you’re dead Don’t tell us. We know. It. Won’t live it lying down Just sense it. We feel it. Perfected. The moment. When we jump for joy. Just know it. Admit it. This myth that life is shit.
